What is James Hardie Siding? There are a variety of steps in the process involving raw lumber through the wood chipper, then strands go through a process of where the wood chips are coated and then Zinc Borate is added which prevents wood & rot. Interwoven to produced stability with the LP Smartside and then again compressed to the desired thickness.
LP SmartSide siding is also known to be environmentally friendly as the boards are a renewed resource. LP SmartSide uses fast-growing trees as well as replenishes any cut-down trees. They use 99% of all the wood they cut and are involved in many green programs.
